The Mission of the Edmonton Blues Society is to promote awareness and appreciation of blues music in Edmonton and Northern Alberta areas, by providing live blues events that showcase local musicians.

Edmonton Blues Society (EBS) is an incorporated and registered not for profit society located in Edmonton, AB. We've been bringing live blues music to Edmonton since 2006.  We proudly promote local and national blues artists. 

Prior to the pandemic, we held the Memphis Bound Blues Challenge and helped send a number of bands and solo/duo acts to compete in the International Blues Competition, held in Memphis, TN.  We hope to resume this competition in the upcoming year.

In February 2018, we hosted our first Annual Winter Blues Festival.  The 2026 Winter Blues Festival promises to be the best Winter Festival so far, with a line up of well known local talent and Canadian Blues musicians. 

Our society is 100% operated by a dedicated volunteer board of directors and all of our events are supported by passionate blues loving volunteers.
